Week 1 day 1 activity 2
We had to think about our hometown and what is special about it we also had to describe our hometown with adjectives.

I think that where I live is special because I live close to the school. My house is a very noisy house whenever friends or family come over, I love it because of how we can run around the house and play a lot of fun games like hide and seek or tag, it is super SUPER fun when friends for my family my age that come over because we play LOADS of games.

We had to find 3 fun facts at this site about New Zealand and write about them in our own words.

1. I found that Queen Elizabeth the 2nd is actually the queen of New Zealand because of a governor-general who represented it in New Zealand.

2. I found that you have to swear an oath to Queen Elizabeth to become a New Zealand citizen.

3. I found that New Zealand is one of the countries of the world that doesn't have that many people in it.

Our teacher gave us these slides to understand what a litre, a millilitre, and a kilolitre are. There are three activities, the first one is learning about the litre and what we should measure with it, the second one is discovering what a kilolitre and a millilitre are.

LEARNING GOAL - I am testing how quickly I can remember my Times Tables.
SUCCESS CRITERIA - I need to remember my Times Tables because they are the knowledge I need to help me with strategies to solve Maths problems.

Last week Thursday, I got 100/100 and this week on Thursday, I got 98/100.
The reason why I got two questions wrong is that people were annoying me.
I got nothing wrong for last week.
I am not getting better at my maths.

LEARNING GOAL - I am testing how quickly I can remember my Basic Facts.
SUCCESS CRITERIA - I need to remember my Basic Facts because they are the knowledge I need to help me with strategies to solve Maths problems.

Last week Friday, I got 34/40 and this week on Friday, I got 37/40.
The ones I got wrong for last week is division, fractions, and percentages, Sqrs, roots, and factors.
The ones I got wrong for this week is the same except division.
I am getting better at getting a higher score.

Typing speed test

LEARNING GOAL - I am practicing my typing so I can be quicker and more accurate.
SUCCESS CRITERIA - This will help me finish my work faster.

Last week Friday, I got 219 Characters Per Minute and 44 Words Per Minute. This week on Friday, I got 221 CPM and 44 WPM.
I am getting better at CPM but I am the same for WPM.
